New Service Request

Welcome to the Okmulgee Co. Rural Water District 2 Community.  Okmulgee Co. Rural Water District #2 is happy to provide water service if possible to those who make application.

***** NOTICE *****

New Membership Inquiries

Due to a previous Moratorium of memberships in 2022, there is a longer than normal waiting time for  installing any new water taps.  Please begin the first step by filling out a new Service Inquiry here.

****** END OF NOTICE ********

The first thing to know is that "a new water service tap does not happen immediately!"  We are a rural water department and there are many different scenarios to consider.  Such as:

  • "Is the property in our District?"
  • "Are you building a new home? Or are you moving in a new home such as a modular."
  • "Are you purchasing a home in our district?" (See water membership transfer below)
  • "Are you taking over a home that has been out of service for a while?"
  • “Is there an inactive water service tap on the property?”
  • “Are you installing a pasture tap?”
  • “Are you Native American working with Indian Health Services?”

Each new membership must complete a new member packet to completion for water to be provided.

  1. The first step is to process a “Service Inquiry” form along with the $150 fee. This covers our engineering fees to simulate another water service connection on our hydraulic model and determine water pressure. Our engineer will update the schematics to show how it will affect our water distribution system. Items that will be considered are: Road bores, road cuts, new lines installed. If these items are needed there will be construction fees involves.

  2. Once the engineering report comes back favorable we can then proceed to the next stages of the process. A new membership form will be filled out and membership fees paid. (See Fees chart below). All new memberships are taken before the Board of Directors for approval as a formality. Once passed at our regular board meeting we can begin working to provide water service considering all the items that fall under your particular circumstance.

FEES CHART

B. $3000              Membership Fee

Transfer Water Membership

Buying existing home that has current water service in our District. The owner will transfer the water membership by signing the transfer form at the time "of closing" on the property. The seller needs to call our office and set a date for a final reading on the water meter. The transfer fee will be paid by the buyer.  The new owner will bring the notorized document to our office and we will transfer service into their name.

We look forward to serving your water needs.
